Presidential Nomination

Today the CIPR has published my nomination for President of the CIPR for 2015.

Over the last three years as Chair of the CIPR South West I have had the joy of meeting many members across our region and it is from those meetings, events, training sessions, challenges, discussions and friendships that I have taken inspiration to stand.

The final nudge came from Professor Anne Gregory FCIPR, someone I have been privileged  to work with and get to know over the years, when I asked her to nominate me, she sent me this.  It is probably the endorsement I am most proud of in my whole professional life.

Sarah Pinch is the embodiment of professionalism. She has demonstrated that by successfully taking on some of the toughest jobs in public relations: working in international development,  public transport, as a Board level Director for one of the largest NHS Hospital Trusts and now running her own consultancy. She is passionate about professional development, maintaining not only her own development, but by dedicating energy, time and resources to developing her team and indeed the whole health sector. She is passionate about standards and ethics and she leads clearly and by example. Sarah won the CIPR’s first Institute of Directors PR Director of the Year Award and has served the CIPR for many years as Regional Chair for the South West. Sarah has honed her leadership skills over many years and it’s now time for her to lead the public relations profession in the UK. It’s my privilege to support Sarah Pinch’s candidacy for President of CIPR.

Over the coming days and weeks, I will be publishing more information here about my five goals and about my plans.

But for now, thanks for stopping by.
