Issues and Crisis Management

We provide senior level communications, counselling and strategic guidance to organisations preparing for, or going through, a reputational issue or major business change.

We have detailed knowledge and skills in all aspects of change management. We have worked for complex, publicly scrutinised organisations going through huge change programmes and we have experience of detailed stakeholder management.

We have supported organisations through clinical negligence, redundancy programmes, mergers and acquisitions, the closure of schools or businesses, employment tribunals, historical racial or sexual abuse issues and provided strategic advice and counsel for preparing for inquests and inquiries. We work across highly regulated sectors, including those inspected by OFSTED, Care Quality Commission, Health and Safety Executive and for multi-stakeholder organisations, advising on politically sensitive issues.

We can provide Business Continuity Workshops where organisations and companies are asked to prepare for worst case scenarios, and work through a plan and develop communications strategies and materials.  We frequently use desk top practices, where an issue develops in real time and requires participants to consider how to react and respond.

“As the solicitors acting for a client purchasing a school, we recommended PPC to undertake a thorough planning exercise to ensure all the communications were targeted and effective. Their approach of ‘planning for the worst and hoping for the best’ was well received, and important. Our client was delighted, and the change of ownership and leadership went well.”

“Pinch Point Communications helped us, through workshops, to ensure our business continuity planning was robust and effective, especially in communicating and engaging with key audiences. They have also provided strategic communications advice on some key strategic changes we are making at the school.  Sarah and her team are professional and highly experienced in the education sector and we enjoy working with them.”
